Domain Name Registrars Reviews

GoDaddy.com is the world’s largest registrar with about Twenty million domains registered (which includes reseller sites).
It was also voted as the best registrar in the 2007 Domain Name Wire survey, taking thirty-three percent of the vote. Last year GoDaddy.com was also at the top, but received only twenty-eight percent of the vote.
GoDaddy.com has grabbed the lion’s share of the market by inventing and implementing savvy marketing techniques, providing an easy to use proprietary control panel and by offering domain names at affordable prices. Here are the top four domain name registrars for 2007.
1. GoDaddy.com 33%
2. Moniker.com 16%
3. eNom.com 10%
4. Dotster.com 3%
Now heed this warning LOUD and CLEAR! NO matter how great a registrar is; DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT use any of their other services; this warning includes Godaddy.com. Almost all domain registrars are geared towards registering domain names. Everything else they do is a side business. That means; they don’t put the same energy and effort into their side businesses as they do their primary business, which is registering domain names. Having shared that, NEVER use any Domain Name Registrar for:
- Web Hosting
- Website Builder
- E-mail services
- SSL Certificates
- Shopping Carts
- Website Design
- SEO
- Graphic Design
- Parking Domain Names
- API Solutions
- Blogs
Why People Complain About Domain Name Registrars
If you performed an online search of the various registrars, you will eventually find people complaining and venting primarily about domain name registrars side businesses, particularly web hosting. Apparently, few if any domain name registrar has been able to get it right when it comes to hosting websites.
The only product you should acquire from these guys is what they specialize in, domain names! The moment you take a chance with any of the side business products that they offer, you are heading into turbulent waters. I’ve been at Internet Marketing since 1999 and have watched time and time again as disgruntled customers attempt to understand why their domain name registrar can’t get their web hosting services right. It’s elementary my friend – it’s not what they specialize in!
If you want web hosting; go to an authentic web host
If you want a website Builder; use an authentic website builder
If you want API solution; to an approved API Programmer
If you need a shopping cart, use a reputable shopping cart provider
I hate to belabor this issue, but this warning needed to be shared; too many Internet entrepreneurs have went through the harrowing experience of finding out firsthand how bad domain name registrars can be when it comes to their side businesses. I hope you got the point!
