The Truth About Using a Website Builder

There is an endless number of website builders that my team and I have reviewed. And when I say reviewed, that means that one or more of us actually purchased the software for the purpose of using it. The problem is, most of them, in spite of all of the hype, weren’t worth our time or yours.

I say that based on my first attempts at using this type of software… it was one miserable failure after another. I went through at least nine different software applications, ranging anywhere from $29 to $299.00. And trust me when I tell you, I didn’t have that kind of money to throw away!

In the end, each one of those website builders made some lofty claims but did not deliver. But I stuck with it because I believed in the concept of the normal everyday guy being able to build a website on his own without any programming knowledge or It experience.

In one such instance, I purchased and attempted to use the KSEO Website Builder. When I got stuck and desperately needed to haves some questions answered, there was absolutely NO support. At some point, the person responsible for designing the software apparently shelved the online forum where people could complain, vent, ask questions and attempt to get answers. As I was struggling to build a website with this software, I understood why they shutdown the online forum. KSEO was not user friendly, which meant that they were getting a lot of trouble calls from users.

If you preformed an online search for the phrase, “KSEO Website Builder,” you would find a high numerous websites with the KSEO back link, in which the owners started building a website and apparently, like me, they couldn’t figure out how to complete the process and decided to dump the software. I will say that I do know one person who did use KSEO successfully, but he had PHP programming experience.

In my case, when I hit a roadblock, I sent e-mails to every e-mail address listed on the network of websites associated with this website builder… all to no avail. After getting the silent treatment, I finally canned that program as I had done numerous others. My breakthrough came right after the KSEO let down. That was when another successful Internet entrepreneur turned me on to the website builder, XSitePro.

Please here me clearly on this one, don’t follow the footsteps of most people by wasting valuable time and your hard earned money sifting through the endless supply of unusable website builders. The promoters and affiliates of these inferior products have become so brazen that they don’t even care about the high number of bad reviews they receive. Why not? Because most people who purchase these products never check for bad reviews until they start having problems.

On the other hand, (and I have to say this to the hard headed few) if you have the time and money, go ahead and try them all!
